Simple Crochet Crop Top Sweater

This super cute crop top sweater is a great item to crochet for the spring or fall. It’s beginner friendly, made up of a front and back panel and two sleeves, using all half double crochets. Easy and quick to work up, you’ll be wanting to make one in every colour!

Once you have one shoulder side complete you will skip stitches (check the count for your size) and begin working the other side of the shoulder.

After both front and back panels are complete you can whip stitch the panels together starting at the shoulder seams

After seaming the shoulders together, whip stitch the side seams. Make sure to leave an armhole.

Fold each sleeve in half lengthwise and seam together using a whip stitch. Once the sleeves are seamed, they can be whip stitched in the armholes

SEAMING

Whip stitch the front and back panels together starting at the shoulder seam.

Then whip stitch the side seams together. Make sure you leave an armhole on each side. (check the chart for each armhole size)

Fold each sleeve in half lengthwise and whip stitch them closed.

Pin each sleeve into the armhole and whip stitch the sleeve to the body of the sweater.

Now you can whip stitch the bottom trip piece along the bottom edge of the sweater and each sleeve cuff into the sleeves.

Optional: slip stitch around the neckline to create a clean edge.
